.004" Smaller than barrel 21.03.2017
I don't normally use this product...a customer brought it to me to install, including several other parts. It was .004 undersize of the barrel...was not impressed. Will have to heat it to install it...shouldn't have to be that far off. Someone is not checking their machine setup it looks like.

Fits a Ballistic Advantage Barrel 19.01.2016
I put this on a 10.5 in Ballistic Advantage barrel BABL556005M and it slid right on. Some people have complained about it being too tight on other barrel brands, so I thought I would share my experience.

Here are some measurements that I took, for those of you that are curious:
The gas port hole is between 5.45-8.77mm when measured from one end to the other (from the shoulder). Any barrel with a gas port distance from the shoulder in this range will function (as long as the gas block journal is .750").
Overall height is 34.68mm/1.3655"
Width is 22.91mm/.902"
Length is 24.18mm/.952"
My closest estimate for the set screw distance is 9.75mm/.383". I'm very confident with this number, but it was hard to get an extremely precise measurement.
I put this on a Ballistic Advantage barrel 10.5" and it slid on easily. I have yet to fully install it though.

I installed the Troy gas block on my Smith & Wesson M&P15i to use with the Hogue forend soon to come from Brownells.
Had no issues whatsoever. Easy to slide on, easy to line up with the gas port. Great value for the money.
The most difficult part I had was punching out the pins holding the A2 front sight.

I bought this, having read about fitment issues. It was too tight to just slip onto two barrels I had handy, so I took a piece of emery cloth and a hand drill to the inside for all of 20 seconds. Even without oil, it fit easily, but not too loosely. I don't think that was a lot of effort, and it seals well to the port. If it needed to be machined, I would give it a different review. For the price, ease of installation, and function, this is a 5-star block.

Too tight. wound up scratching the barrel and bending the gas tube getting this off because it did not fit correctly. Too tight for barrel and gas tube hole too small. Now have to order new gas tube and gas block. Threw it in the garbage. Checked other higher profile gas blocks I had on this barrel and gas tube and they fit no problem.

Bought this for my son's first build. ID is too tight and won't even go 1/4 down the barrel. Tried a little grease, tapping with a block, way too tight. Maybe I just was just unlucky, but I'll try another product first.

I research a number of gas block and decided on this one. Glad I did. I had a bit of a problem getting it to slide onto my S/S White Oak Wylde barrel, but after a bit of 600 emory it fits nice and looks great sitting just in front of my Hogue Rifle length OverMolded Free Float Tube.

I mounted this on a 16" Daniel Defense barrel.VERY low profile. The install was perfect. The tolerances were exact. Tight fit but slid on easily with no play. After firing there was NO leakage around the gas tube. Could have paid more but could not have gotten a better part.
