HOGUE AR-15 PISTOL GRIP - HOGUE Pistol Grip Rubber Tan

Fit my Colt AR perfect. No modifications or trimming needed. I don't have massive hands, but the standard grip was just too small anyway. Trigger finger would naturally want to extend way past the trigger. The extra bulk from this grip brings the pad on the end of my finger directly onto the trigger, as it should be. Took all of a minute to install.

I have small girly hands, a mans medium, and this grip fits fine.

No fat feel and much more comfortable than stock. Like another reviewer I did have to trim the back of the selector lever to prevent it from dragging on the grip but no biggie, I just ground a bit off the backside of the lever and dabbed a bit bluing on it and now it works just fine and still looks good with no trimming done to the grip. I still give it 5 stars because isn't that why we are here, we like guns and like to tinker with them?

I saw that one reviewer complained that it didn't come with any hardware and I fail to see what the problem is since you will be replacing your stock handgrip and you would already have the hardware parts you need on your gun. If you are building a new lower your parts kit will have the hardware in it also. I do wish it had a cap to close off the end so that the grip could be used for some simple storage like an extra battery for the sight or ear plugs but I wont complain about that with the budget price of this grip. I will be using these on all my future builds.

One of the best grips I've ever used on an AR. Only complaint is that there wasn't any mounting hardware in the package.

I am surprised some people reported having no issues with this grip rubbing the selector when so many others have had that exact problem. Dimensionally speaking almost everybody should have that problem as this grip is thicker than the standard A2 grip. While most people stated they trimmed the rubber off the grip to allow clearance, I opted to file the rear of the selector at a slight angle so that it could clear the grip but not interfere with appearance or the function of the selector stops. A quick touch up with some cold blue and everything looks factory fresh.

I also had the problem with the pocket hole for the selector spring being too shallow. Sure, it was only about 1/16" but it caused enough extra compression on the selector spring to make flipping the selector a real bear. Using a spare A2 grip I had lying around I marked a drill bit at the proper depth and then drilled my Hogue to match. Now my selector snaps into place smooth as silk.

Like everything I've ever seen that Hogue makes, this is a fine piece of craftsmanship. Just be aware that it may need a tweak or two to get it the way you want it.

Also, I should mention: If you do need to trim the grip or selector do it right away and resist the urge to keep working the selector as it rubs the grip. The spot where it rubs seems to leave a permanent rub mark on the grip which is small, but kind of ugly. This isn't an issue if you just plan to trim the rubber off, but if you opt to recontour the selector instead you won't want to leave the traces of the ill fit behind for all to see.

Grip fit perfectly. Has a great feel and is not slippery. Much more comfortable than the stock grip. Definitely what I expected from a Hogue grip.

I've had all the big name brands grips before and this one beats them all! Very good feel in your hand, and looks good too! Definitely worth buying...

To put it simply-this grip feels right. Fits my hand well. Installs easily. Looks good, and feels sturdy.

This is a great feeling grip. I also had to trim it with a razor in order to let the safety lever move freely on my m&p sport. No big deal, prefit it, mark it with a pencil and trim it to fit.

This is a great addition to my AR. It is a breeze to install and was quite an upgrade from the stock grip that came with the gun. Great gripping ability and the palm swells are nice as well. Great quality for the money.

Excellent grip & works well without fitting on a Colt AR-15. I purchased this grip for a Lewis Machine & Tool AR and the fire selector switch rubs against the top portion of the grip. It needed to be slightly trimmed on the inside in order for the proper clearance.

Fit perfect as they always do for me. I have gunsmith training, but this is a no'brainer! Stock screw worked with it so nothing to buy! Any flat tip screwdriver (med. length) will work for the install. I have this brand on most of my guns, the shooters at least. My freinds also (42 guns)And they always fit and work perfectly. The grip size works for me, adult male, and my eight year old daughter. Highest Recommendation!

I've used Hogue products for years and have never ever been disappointed. The grip on my Bushmaster M4 is one I used to take off and put on my work weapon; it has been through tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and still looks and functions like new. There are a lot of other grips out there - but this one will NOT let you down. I even picked up one for my converted Saiga 12!

what can i say? hogue makes great stuff that just molds to my hand like it was made for it.

Have these on both of my AR's and an extra to take to work. Easy to install, comfortable, fits my hand and durable.

Excellent replacement grip for my AR. Comfortable rubber coating makes shooting a joy. I will be using this on all my future builds. I just wish they send a screw and lock washer with it.

Great AR grip! Fit my hand very well and has awesome positive feel and control. Installed on DPMS LR-308B in less than 2 minutes. Fit was tight and excellent. Safety detent spring hole drilled to perfect depth and no problems experienced with safety lever hitting grip. In my opinion a must have on this weapon platform type!

The hogue grip fits in your hand perfect without any discomfort,with other the hard plastic and shrp edges cut into your hand after long periods of use,THIS ONE DOES NOT,it's soft rubber feels very good in your hand no matter how long you have to carry it.

this is a great grip if your looking to replace the current grip on an ar style rifle,this grip is a little thicker than the std polymer grip and the rubber insures a no slip grip in rain,snow,mud or sweat. and it don't rub your fingers raw after an extended day at the range. semper fi!!!!!

I originally dicovered this grip because it came stock on my dad's Ruger SR-556. After shooting it, I was impressed with how comfortable it was. When I decided to build an AR-15 of my own, I knew immediately what grip was going on it. It was just as easy to install as any other AR grip and despite being under $20, it is very high quality. You could definately shoot all day with this grip and not get sore. I will definately be purchasing a Hogue grip for my Ruger Security Six.

I tried other grips aimed at the tactical crowd. I found them to be overly bulbous, even without gloves.

So I picked up one of these... I like the rubberized texture over the standard A2 grip. It feel like it will be easier to manipulate the rifle. It also seems like it will hold up to moderate abuse.

Easy to use, good control, feels like a rubber skin has been applied to factory A2 grip. Only complaint is position of finger ridges can rub fingers raw depending on finger size after extended shooting.

All you need is a screwdriver. Fit my DPMS perfectly. Great ergonomics!

Simply a very comfortable grip that any handsize works well with! Easy to replace your old grip with.

This gip is a big improvement over the plastic factory grips. Very comfortable and keeps your hand from moving around on the grip.

I have this grip on my RRA .223 and my DPMS LR-308 and I would not use anything else. I have very large hands and the grip still fits perfectly. Others that have shot my rifles with average sized hands like it as well. The only thing that makes it better is the price! I would not change a thing.
