110% Improvement.(12.03.2011)
First let me say that I NEVER leave comments unless a product is just superb or really poor. As a diehard hunter, novice triggersmith and degreed Mechanical Engineer I can confidently say that this product improved the trigger on my 11-87 20ga Compact 110%.
This is my wife's turkey gun. At 20 yards or less my patterns are baseball sized. Pulling off of a gobbler's head with the creepy/heavy stock trigger is a lot easier then one would imagine.
Install was fairly simple and took about 15 mins. The 2 lb spring only got me down to 2 lb 7 oz and there is a little creep left in the group, but not much...BUT overall the trigger improvement is excellent. No...it's not your "break like glass" 24 oz deer rifle's trigger, but it is one of the best improvements you can make to your Remington 870/1100/11-87.
Also, it is not too light that you would not want to shoot passing targets with either (doves, clay targets, etc.)
Great improvement over factory(10.06.2011)
Factory pull was 6.5 lbs, after install with the "medium" spring it was now 3.5 lbs. Haven't shot gun yet, but if there is a problem then I will repost.
Good instructions also!
Bad trigger fixed(17.10.2011)
Took about 40 minutes to install. Completely fixed the creep and tough let off of the Rem 11-87 shotgun. The trigger is now as good as the best shotguns. You gotta try it.
Great product!(08.11.2011)
This is awsome!! If you are a slug gun shooter this is a must have!!
Easy install on 1100(03.02.2012)
It took less than 20 minutes to install. Trigger is great. I put it in my 1100 used for 3-gun matches. I don't have a trigger pull scale, but it feels about the same as my AR Gold trigger in my AR15.
great products(08.03.2012)
i put this trigger in my remington 870 magnum express slugger, and put the smooter spring incredible i took 20 minutes to install and now the shoot is very easy great a+
I would buy this product again and again(09.03.2012)
great, easy installation 20-30 minutes and what a great smooth trigger,i put in my remington 870 magnum express 12 ga slugger and i put the smooter spring, and when i shout the new precision is there
good fix(05.12.2012)
A great improvement too my 760 pump rifle, easy to install with good instructions in the kit.Gave the old rifle a great trigger not a break like glass trigger but one that sure is a lot better than the one that came in the weapon
Wow!(05.12.2012)
2lb trigger? Yes please. So smooth. Easy to install
Great upgrade(11.12.2012)
I installed this sear on a Remington 7600 using the 3# spring. Considerably less creep and much smoother trigger pull. Also, it reduced the trigger pull weight from 6# to a acceptable 3# which makes the rifle group like it should.
a world of difference(30.12.2013)
This was super easy to install and has a lot less creep compared to the standard! Breaks like glass
Everything You'd Expect from Timney(06.03.2014)
I've become a trigger snob. All of my guns have Geissele or Timney so I figured I'd upgrade my 870 tactical. Pre - install the stock trigger wasn't too shabby at around 4.5 lbs. Post install 2.25lbs! Easy install and the trigger is insanely smooth. Do yourself a favor while you have the trigger group out go ahead and upgrade your extractor to non - mim and replace your latch spring with the police version. Brownell has both parts
Not without a silver bullet! (31.07.2015)
Installing without the silver bullet is very awkward. Very easy with it. Trigger pull on my new 20 gauge Remington 870 is no longer a "pull". Amazing difference. Suggest you slip spring over top adjustment screw first and then push bottom in place. That way if bottom slips off it does not spring to the other side of the room. I had never removed or altered a trigger assembly before this. Difficult to read paper directions, but easy process. Suggest you take a picture of the assembly before taking it apart.
Great: Feels like I am just pointing with the trigger finger and saying "here" . Twenty to 40 yards aim is staying right on squirrel and patterns on paper target are all clustered around aim point. Makes me a much better shooter :-)
WOW(23.08.2015)
Started with a 5.5 lb. pull installed the 2 lb. spring and can't believe the difference. It's a nice addition to my slug gun. I struggled a bit with the re-assemble but managed to get it back together correctly. Shot it today and no more flinching from the stiff trigger pull just a smooth snap.
Works great as advertised!(17.10.2015)
Purchased Remington 7600 last year and trigger was terrible. Looking at various options and came across this trigger fix for the 870 and also works 7600. Don't know what trigger assembly looks like for older 870/7600 but mine different than what is in instructions. In a nutshell you need small punch to remove the shear pin (very small opening), don't be afraid to use it. Popped out shear pin and installed new parts, works great, what a difference! Can't wait to see results on paper at range....groups have to improve.
Significant Improvement (19.02.2016)
Provided a signicant improvement in model 7600 pump action rifle. Easy to install but instructions could be improved. Most of the photos were to dark to show required detail. The configuration of my trigger differs slightly from photos and instructions.
870 Timney - easy to install(27.09.2016)
The standard trigger in my 870 was 5.5 lbs on RCBS gauge and made longer shots (100+ yds) difficult to consider with any confidence. I found a video on You Tube that was outstanding with step by step visual detail that made the trigger swap extremely easy to do. The swap out of the Timney in my 870 did not take more than 10 minutes once I had the trigger assembly removed from the receiver. The trigger pull after installation using the blue spring was a very nice 2.25 lbs. Headed to range today to hopefully see better groups at 100+. The trigger pull went from hard rough pull to a very nice crisp break. What more can you ask for? The link for the video:

Just believe the hype...(12.05.2018)
I NEVER write these. I have been really surprised a couple times this was one. It cleaned up the break significantly & has a better reset. I think itâd be easier on a newer trigger group; I had a older steel Police model however it was done in under a hour. Itâs utilized on a 870 I use for hone defense. If the funds & desire is there, go for it! I surprisingly donât regret it, like my Gieselle.
