Hand-filling grips help absorb recoil by spreading the shock over a wider area of the hand. Finger groove models for semi-autos tighten the grip upward, into the triggerguard for better recoil control. All wood grips are cut from imported, select grades of hardwood. Molded rubber grips cushion recoil. Non-slip, pebble finish. 1911 Auto checkered grips are Double Diamond pattern.

Sehr gut.(23.05.2019)
Die Griffe haben palm swells (das war der Hauptgrund für den Kauf), fühlen sich gut an und sind ziemlich hochwertig verarbeitet. Perfekte Passung an Les Baer Premier II. Ich hätte sie dennoch gerne noch etwas dicker gehabt, gerade weil die 1911 Griffe insgesamt recht schmal ausfallen.
A Great Low Cost Option(06.08.2014)
Installed in place of the factory rosewood grips on my Kimber Custom CDP II for a trip to Front Sight. The soft rubber assured a positive purchase, even with sweaty hands, through 600+ rounds and countless dry fire & malfunction drills. My hands were immensely grateful for the increased comfort and modest reduction in felt recoil provided by these grips. As a secondary consideration, the classic double diamond checker pattern looks great too.
Hogue wraparound grip(03.06.2012)
Fits my Officer 1911 great. love the feel espically during shooting. Great product. Probably would sell more if they had a picture.
Great Value and Performance(21.01.2014)
I use these grips on my everyday carry pistol. They provide a comfortable and sure grip and they are far less expensive than some of the high end grips that are currently in vogue. They aren't fancy looking so you'll probably be disappointed if you put them on a safe queen or tacticool spec ops gun.
Does Not Fit(12.06.2014)
I installed the grip, the rubber under the de-cocking lever is too thick, which does not allow the lever to operate, I will return
Fits like a Tight Glove(21.06.2015)
I recently purchased a Sig P239 because I wanted something more compact and easier to conceal. Unfortunately because of the compact size, I had to use an extraordinarily strong grip to keep the pistol from torqueing to the right and my groups were stringing out vertically. I had read the reviews for these grips on other websites and those reviews were much more positive.
These grips have protrusions on the inside of the grips which fit cutouts inside the frame (the factory grips have these same protrusions as well). I found that to get the grip to fit snugly, I had to remove the slide and play with the decocker so that grip had enough space to slide under the decocker, but then bend upward so that the protrusion could drop into place in the cutout. I was careful not to force anything and not to press the decocker all the way down.
Once done, the grips fit very tightly to the frame without any gaps. Taking the P239 to the range the vertical stringing was gone, and my normal grip was sufficient to keep the pistol from torqueing to the right (I am right-handed).
P239 grip(13.04.2018)
Not sure what the other 2 reviews were talking about when they claimed it needed fitting. It takes a little bit of working it into place but when it snaps in, you know. De-cocking lever works without issues as do all other functions. Great after market grips.
Comfy feel without the bulk!!(08.05.2010)
I needed a better grip than factory for my 229RDAK but needed to stay away from bulky grips for CCW reasons. These are a perfect fit! Feel great in the palm and really help with sweaty or wet hands. A must for serious CCW or duty weapons!
Doesn't fit the original P220 (14.03.2015)
Nice grip but doesn't fit "This Old Gun", should be great on the new ones. Holes do not line up to the screw holes in the frame.
This gun was made around 1983 in West Germany and had a number below # 150 000. I'll think about re-drilling the holes,
as there are no other rubber type grips to fit this gun. I'll let you know if that works.
This Old Gun give it a second chance(23.03.2015)
Finding no other grips for my old P220, I re-drilled the holes and ground out the mag release. It's not pretty but it work and it's better than the original polymer grips. I may fill in the old hole with some Plumbers Goo. Or may be Hogue will make some that fit! Just call me Mr. Red Neck!
Simply the best(24.10.2016)
I bought my first handgun on my 21st birthday, and it was a used Beretta 92G with this particular Hogue grips on it. I began shooting in local pistol matches with it a year or two later, and the gun just sticks in my hand, with a consistent draw and grip every time, and I have put thousands of rounds through this gun in the past decade.
The rubber maintains a grip even when there is sweat or gunk on it, it's comfortable, and doesn't chew up your hands if you're training or shooting all day long.
I emphatically recommend these grips for ANY pistol that can accommodate them, if that pistol is for any practical purpose (competition, home defense, duty or concealed carry), and specifically, it is by far the best grip I've ever shot or handled on a Beretta 92.
Best thing to happen to a P85(25.12.2009)
One of the best things I have ever done to a pistol. We all know that the P85 grips were basic hard plastic, made just to do a basic purpose. Put these on and you will think you have a new gun.Movement in the hand is gone! Comfortable, non slip just increases your confidence in know that sucker isn't going to slip from your hand when you pull it out of the holster quick. And letting people who know what the gun shot and felt like with the old grips when shooting, put the Houge's on and all you can hear is "Oooohhh, ahhh" or " Far out, that's nice"
Great Product for a Colt Series 80(09.03.2010)
Let me first say there are a lot of "prettier" grips out there, but you can't beat the functionality you get out of these grips for the money. Just a nice simply product you won't be afraid of tearing up.
Awesome Grip!(01.02.2011)
This was an easy install on my Kimber Pro Carry II. While it is a little larger than the regular grip, it does not interfere with operation, fit or the ability to carry. This grip is great with or without gloves, wet or dry. I love this! I just bought a second for a friend!
The Best Grip I've Ever Owned!(20.11.2011)
I love this Rubber finger groove grip. It's like it grips my hand back. I'm an older guy & my hands are not as strong as they used to be, but this grip really helps me shoot a lot better. This isn't the prettiest, but it is the most "Functional" Grip I've ever owned. I took off my Pretty Custom Grips for these and I won't go back.
I love them!(03.02.2013)
These are way to easy to install and work really well! I had reservations on the finger groves on the front, but once I got it installed and in my hands for the first time I loved it! These give you the ultimate grip on your hand cannon!
Great grip at a great value(22.01.2014)
Used on my somewhat tricked out 1911 Gov't. Provides a sure and comfortable grip. I like the look of it, but its nothing fancy.
Appears to be quality product(05.10.2014)
As with every Hogue product I have purchased, this one does what it says it will do, is a quality product, and I am happy with the product. I have confidence in Hogue, and enjoy the quick service I receive from Brownells.
Good cheap grip(05.01.2015)
This grip is an excellent alternative to expensive front strap checkering. Hogue grips are made from a soft, almost sticky rubber material which is great; however, they do become slippery when sweaty or wet. Also, the finger grooves add thickness to the grip, which requires larger hands to comfortably wield. Looks good on stainless!
Favorite grips ever(17.04.2015)
These grips are on every 1911 I own. Including a duty gun. All time favorite grips, cannot go wrong with Hogue quality.
Must have improvement(15.05.2013)
I purchased these grips for my Taurus Model 99AF. I couldn't be happier with them. They greatly improve the feel of the grip and reduce the circumference. I have large glove size hands(latex) and these grips make the gun feel like a completely different gun. I mainly use the gun for home protection and occasionally a shooting match. The fit was better than expected and the quality of manufacture is top notch. Hogue even adds another panel for guns that do not have the de cocker feature. For the price, they can't be beat. I highly recommend.
Much needed for those with smaller hands(04.03.2015)
I ordered my Taurus PT92 from buds recently, only to find out that the rumors are true- the grip is huge! I would've been able to adjust to the stock checkered plastic grips eventually, but for the price I thought these were worth a shot- Im glad I did. It gives the grip a different feel, and though its still just a bit too big to be ergonomic for my small hands, its still a nice improvement. Dropped in easy, and the grips almost melt into the frame. I would recommend these for sure, the only con is that they are a bit too smooth compared to the stock grips. Next purchase will be the Hogue g10 checkered.
perfect(09.04.2010)
Great, like all Hogue grips! The slabs are nice because the feel is just a little more fuller and comfortable without losing too much of the original feel of the weapon that happens when you get finger groove grips (which I have as well on my sig p229 and do like a lot too). Overall, Hogues on everything! Get some!!!!!
They just feel right(22.06.2009)
My first 1911 was used and came with these grips. Even though I normally get wood grips for my all handguns, these felt so good I kept them. When I bought my second 1911, it just didn't feel right. I tried swapping the grips and when I put the Hogue rubber palm swell grips on the new 1911 it had that same "just right" feel as the first one.
They're green!(05.05.2010)
These are very comfortable and fit extremely well. The rubber gives a good grip and can save a lot of wear and tear on your hands. BUT be aware the grips I received are GREEN - a parkerized OD sort of green. Looks pretty good on my plain Jane 1911. But they are not black as pictured and nothing about the color is mentioned in the Brownell's description that I can find. (Unfortunately that is all too common of their catalog.)
Great Feel.(16.08.2012)
Got these on my Tarus....they feel very good, and are excellent for carry. I dislike 1911 grips without the palm swell like these have. Two thumbs up.
