High quality 304 stainless steel bushing replaces the factoryo Ruger bushing, allowing for safe removal of the magazine disconnect from Ruger® MKIII™ and 22/45™ pistols. Removing the disconnect allows the magazine to fall free from the gun, proper seating and allows the gun to fire with the magazine removed. Another added benefit is simplified takedown and cleaning. Once installed, the bushing will not effect trigger function or feel.

Great part! Excellent first modification(10.03.2014)
I've been using this MKIII bushing in my gun for the last six months now. Magazines drop free and disassembly is so much easier. I think it actually improved my trigger feel too.
Better than homemade washers, but....(21.03.2014)
Used to remove the magazine disconnect in my MK IIIs. This bushing fits into the hammer. The fit of the bushing into the hammer is not friction tight, allowing the bushing to have wiggle in the hammer.
There are better fitting bushings available.
Holy Mackerel the bushing works wonders!(21.03.2014)
I used to claw and fight with my magazines when t trying to eject and reload my 22/45. I got this magazine and it truly works as advertised. Not only do my magazines slip right out with ease, they seat easier, faster, and better; I've noticed a more consistent trigger pull as well which has helped my accuracy. Overall, not enough good things can be written about this product or company. Top Notch old sport!
Great little gadget(01.04.2014)
Just what I needed to eliminate one of the more annoying "features" of my 22/45. Fits snugly in the hammer pin hole and takes the last little bit of slop out of the custom trigger.
I just installed my magazine disconnect bushing from tandemkross in my new ruger 22/45. What a world of a difference. If you own this gun you MUST make this upgrade. Dont go with other brands that arent the right size or require other parts. Tandemkross goes the distance with the best quality parts, amazing customer serive/shipping, and helping you get the job done right with detailed instructions. Thank you Brownells and tandemkross. You have a customer for life.
Great product(24.05.2014)
I just installed this bushing in my MK III. I had to press the bushing in my custom hammer and works as advertised. I believe it made a slight improvement in trigger feel/function also. Highly reccomend this bushing, machining finish is excellant!
I'd do it again!(29.10.2014)
This is the second bushing I've installed in my Rugers, one in my Hunter target model and the latest in my 22/45 Lite model. After modifying my first one, I was sold on this product. The fit is second to none and it improves on the performance of the pistol. The installation is straight forward, but you have to pay attention to how the springs sit in their places. I took detailed photographs on every step of the way and had to refer to a few of them during reassembly. After the installation, you'd be amazed at what a difference this little bushing makes. The trigger pull and reset get crisper and more tactile, the magazine falls freely when the mag release button is depressed and field stripping becomes much easier without having to deal with a magazine to release the hammer forward. One reviewer complained of a sloppy fit into the hammer. This bushing actually removed a lot of the play out of my trigger group. Aside from performance improvements, I decided to make the modification to bring my Rugers more in line with the other pistols I have-none of which have a magazine disconnect feature. I feel more consistency amongst my pistols would result in better safety. Another extra step that requires a little bit of experience is to polish some of the mating surfaces to make your trigger pull even smoother, but don't go crazy. Removing the burrs and polishing the rough edges is all that's needed.
Does NOT fit Volquartsen Mark III Hammer(04.05.2016)
We bought 2 of these bushings to remove the magazine disconnect from our Ruger Mark III pistols. It fits the RUGER Mk III hammer fine but does NOT fit the Volquartsen Mark III hammer. It does a fine job with the Ruger Mk III hammer and is highly recommended.
Please note that the Volquartsen Accurizing Kit for the Ruger Mark III pistol has the Volquartsen Mark III hammer. Neither this bushing made by TANDEMKROSS or the one made by Volquartsen fits the Volquartsen Mark III hammer! They fit the Ruger Mk III hammer and the Volquartsen Mk II hammer!
Important: If you want to add a Volquartsen Accurizing Kit to a Ruger Mk III AND remove the magazine disconnect, get the Volquartsen Mark II kit, not the Volquartsen Mark III kit!
Buy the Volquatsen(21.04.2017)
Used to remove the magazine disconnect ina Mk III 22/45. The bushing fit into the hammer, but was not tight at all, allowing the bushing wiggle in the hammer. There are better fitting bushings available, Volquartsen is one of them. My gunsmith who is a Master had never tried the Tandemkross and will never do so again. The material appears to not be tool steel either. Junk.
Good Solution(06.04.2018)
I chose to try this Tandemkross bushing in my Ruger Mark III Target for three reasons: First, the disconnect feature impedes the magazine falling free when the magazine release is pressed. A Mark III nuance that is irritating. Second, I do not like a magazine disconnect feature on my firearms. Third, and maybe most importantly, the Mark III that I purchased came with a very good trigger pull from the factory. It is crisp and has pulled just under 3 lbs since new. For this reason I have not made any changes to the pistol for years! I did not want to change what is not broken. However at under $10 the Tandemkross bushing is inexpensive and could be removed later. After receiving the bushing it seemed to be well machined and the correct tolerance for its intended use. The install of the bushing was not easy but is doable. Tandemkross offers a helpful video! So far I have a few hundred rounds through the pistol since installing the bushing. The magazine now drops free when the magazine release is pressed, a round can be fired with no magazine, and the very good trigger pull is preserved! No regrets so far.
